Ron A Puvak

Ron Puvak has been in the packaging industry for 40 plus years. In 1976 he began his career as a Research Technician. His responsibilities included projects in Material Strength studies, Fracture Analyses and Technology Training.

An active member of the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT) he has served as Chairman for the Packaging Technology Committee, on the board member of the national organization and now helps coordinate ISBT’s marketing effort. In 2014 Ron was elected to be the President of ISBT. In addition, he has been a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers Blow Molding.

He has served as Secretary, Chair-elect and Chairman and is an Honored Service member. In 2003 and then in 2010 Ron received recognition as a Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) via the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IOPP). He is now has a lifetime CPP designation.
In September 2017 he accepted the position of Managing Director for the CPA.

Steve Dennis

Keenan Beasley


Keenan Beasley is marketing executive and serial entrepreneur with more than a decade of consumer marketing experience. He is currently the General Partner of Venture Noire, a venture studio with a non profit arm and Walton Family Foundation grant recipient.

Venture Noire features prominent brands in the health and beauty sectors. Prior to launching Venture Noire, Keenan launched BLKBOX, a creative agency in NYC with clients ranging from Samsung to Diageo

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Keenan is a contributor to Forbes & CNBC, an advisor to a number of start-up companies and a regular lecturer at the USC Marshall School of Business. Keenan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Law and Systems Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Phil Short


Phil has worked for Mars Incorporated for 25 years and has led the IT organization for the Canadian business units for the past 12 years. He has a passion for Business Process Management (BPM) and its ability to enable effective business operation and more importantly business transformation.

In the past decade he has successfully led the Canadian organization through multiple transformations ranging from ERP, Supply Chain Planning, Sales and Operations Planning, Mergers and Acquisitions and multiple other business change initiatives.

Most recently he has been working to lead the businesses through the digital transformation by taking a Process, People, Data & Systems perspective to effectively drive value. Phil has presented several papers at conferences on process management and transformation, has appeared on industry panels and was co-author of the book ‘Questioning BPM?’. He offers a practical perspective on the application of IT and looks to share his learnings and understanding with others.

Bob Ferrari

Adrian Gonzalez


Adrian Gonzalez is trusted advisor and industry analyst with more than 18 years
of research experience in transportation management, logistics outsourcing, and other supply chain topics.

He is the founder and president of Adelante SCM, a peer-to-peer learning and networking community for supply chain professionals. Adelante’s services include Talking Logistics, an online video talk show and blog featuring thought leaders in the supply chain and logistics industry.

Chris Nutley


Chris Nutley is President of MSW Packaging — a Co-Manufacturer/Co-Packer Chris helped found in 1991 with two facilities in SE Indiana. Chris has more than 25 years Contract Packaging experience to compliment 5 years of grocery merchandising experience.

Prior to co-founding MSW, Chris is also a former Board Member/President of the Contract Packaging Association, and currently on the Executive Council of the PMMI OpX Leadership Network. Building upon his education and experience in machinery operations, in 2005, Chris founded, C-Crest Packaging Systems, Inc. – a custom design/build process developer and consulting firm, focusing on unique automation solutions for small/medium size Co-Manufacturers and Packagers, where he holds two mechanical process patents. Chris attended Tri-State University (Angola, Indiana) where he majored in Mechanical Engineering.

Chris serves the Boy Scouts of America, and nearly 1200 Scouts at the Council level in SE Indiana, and is currently a Chapter Advisor in the Order of the Arrow. If you reach out to Chris, and he’s unavailable, he’s likely backpacking with his wife, Stephanie, and their four teenage children.

David Warrick


As GM of Global Supply Chain for Microsoft, Dave manages the order to cash cycle, Channel Operations Planning and Distribution & Logistics for all Microsoft physical products worldwide including Xbox, Surface, Accessories and Surface Hub. 

He also manages all aspects of Channel Management, Software Manufacturing, and numerous other functions as the customer facing part of the Manufacturing and Supply Chain organization. Dave and his team are responsible for all products in all channels including Retail, Commercial, Operator, and Direct to Consumer through Microsoft Online and Brick and Mortar stores.

Dave joined Microsoft in 1999 working through various roles in Supply Chain and product release. Prior to Microsoft, Dave held roles with Andersen Consulting and Coca-Cola and worked as a Project Engineer on the new Hong Kong Airport. Dave holds a B.Eng (Hons) in Manufacturing Engineering and is a C.Eng (Chartered Engineer) with the IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology – Manufacturing Division).

In his spare time, Dave enjoys spending time with his family, and never-ending physical therapy.


Neil Ackerman


Neil Ackerman is the Senior Director, Global Supply Chain Advanced Planning, for Johnson and Johnson across all segments including Pharmaceuticals, Biomedical Devices and Consumer Products.

He is responsible for accelerating supply chain innovation and enablement of advanced planning processes and technologies worldwide. His team is critical in bringing value-based prototyping to life within Johnson and Johnson and beyond.

Prior to this role, Neil held various positions at Amazon.com, including Strategy Head for Fulfillment By Amazon and the General Manager and Inventor of the Amazon Small and Light global program. Most recently, he was the Global Director of Integrated Supply Chain, eCommerce strategy and technology innovation at Mondelez International, one of the world’s largest snack companies with brands such as Oreo, Milka, Cadbury’s and Nabisco. In this role, Neil was recognized in various global publications for inventing and launching a Direct To Consumer Supply Chain Model for many snack brands including Oreo and Cadbury. He is an expert on eCommerce and supply chain innovations and is published, given multiple keynotes globally for his work on the eCommerce Flywheel and its impact on supply chain for a long term competitive advantage.

Neil holds 10 US patents and has been quoted, interviewed and written about in WSJ, Bloomberg, Inc., Forbes, Business Week, CNBC and numerous highly selective international publications. Neil is a winner of numerous leadership awards including the prestigious Amazon.com “Just Do It” Award and was a Distinguished Visitor for the USA Navy in 2016. Currently, Neil sits on the Board of Directors for After School All Stars, a charity providing After School services to 75,000 children across the USA and is an active Board Advisor for multiple start-ups globally including Flexe, the “airbnb of warehousing.”

Dave Mabon


Dave Mabon: is an accomplished supply chain leader with 27 years proven success driving revenue growth.

Dave extensive experience gives him a unique perspective into key areas of supply chain management including sales, marketing, operations and global solution development.

Dave’s work with large 3rd party logistics (3PL’s) firms, allows him to gain insights from some of the world’s largest brands spanning CPG, Retail, Healthcare and Manufacturing sectors on both a North American and International basis.

Additionally, Dave is currently serving on a variety of advisory boards including FLEXE Inc., The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and Logistics Quarterly (LQ).
